Mileage per year

on Thu May 04, 2017 11:41 pm
How many miles do you think you drive a year?

In the last 18 months i've done about 6,000 in the BM, and i reckon on average i do an average of no more than 150 a month in the Zafira.

Makes me just 5,000 - 6,000 a year i reckon.

I put the Range Rover on the road with 86k and even though I have been off work for 6 months, she now sits at 92700 or thereabout.

Not bad for a fat limping mess in a 4.0 petrol munching beast Cool

However, in the year before this happened, total miles in all vehicles driven was around 300 per day on a five day week on average Shocked

Some weeks I barely touched 150 in a day, some weeks I was doing 500 miles over 16hrs.

Mad? Sure, but I loved every minute. Some days I would do Thurso & back in the morning, and the afternoon, over to the arse end of Skye to collect a 16ft double axle cabin.

Imagine, I was doing the equivalent of the North Coast 500 and getting paid for it I love you

I forgot when I got my car, but it's going to be a little over 10,000 miles per year, as it's got about 12,000 km on it at the moment and I bought it sometime last summer 2016.

Longest trip Munich in the winter. Most people in it so far. 3 with stuff to go skiing... regularly take it up to a high car park at about 1000 metres on the Wiltspitz.

I guess the difference is LK lives in London, Andoo in Scotland and me somewhere in between.

I picked up my Laguna on 6th January this year with 38,000 miles on the clock... yesterday it clicked over to 49,000 miles. Shocked Roughly about 30,000 miles a year.

I probably do about 10-12,000 miles a year between personal and business mileage...

The QQ now has 106,000 miles on it and 96,000 on the TT

I don't do that many miles at the moment. About 6-7000 miles I think. Mainly because I have a minimal commute and at this stage in life we're busy enough locally at the weekends and not off all over the place like the old days!

Sounds like me, Tom.

Always another kids birthday party, or something at weekends, which means we go nowhere most weekends

Of all the miles driven, how many are spent swearing at the arseholes in VW's or Audi's because they are superior Mad

Yesterday, coming round the Raigmore Interchange I (obviously) had right of way, but some bint in a silver heap of shite (I couldn't even begin to imagine the make) looked RIGHT at me and pulled out, kids in her heap an all Shocked Serious braking and leaned on the horn for good measure. The kids shat themselves, but I was hoping she would learn a lesson. Stupid bitch Evil or Very Mad

Why are folk getting more thick these days? Do they actually think that a 2 tonne vehicle doing 40mph can stop in an inch or is it sheer selfishness?

Yeah I don't think I'm going to make even 10000 miles this year, there is only 2 months more since I bought it.

Andoo, I remember the driving the somewhat faster Agila and the people dying to pull out in front of me....
