If Jeremy Corbyn gets in diesel will be FREE for all between ages 18 and 85.

(Pink Stamps will be resurrected to be issued with the free petrol)

Honestly

With a possible new job (67 mile commute), I predict an increase in diesel usage. Whether in the Smart car or the train....

So hang on!

On the forum at the moment, quite a lot of both car and job activity.

FF going for a new job?

Spot got a promotion

Hugh thinking about a new job?

Spot recently got a new car, now thinking of another

Hugh contemplating new car

LK ALWAYS contemplating car change

My impending car change (but sadly no sign of a job change at present)

I once was in Mumbai the British Bombay and there they had really done something about pollution believe me. The tuktuks were gone, but old diesel buses remained. I got a feeling the Indians in that city had made the diesel before it goes in to the engine clean because no pollution from what remain very old buses.

When you buy ultimate diesel I'm fairly sure it's diesel made from natural gas. I don't know, but I would think it doesn't pollute. Nobodies talking about these solutions, cause it still causes global warming... and that remains the dominant political idea.

the future is 300hp 3.0 V6's with hybrid tech capable of 50mpg+.....and they are out there already

a 2012 BMW 535 active hybrid can be yours for 15k, it packs 303hp and returns avg 49mpg with a 0-60 of 5.9.....the clincher? £180 a year RFL

or how about a 2015 Infiniti Q50 3.5 GT, more V6 power with 360hp, 0-60 5.4, 54mpg and £180 RFL

Personally, I'm already disgruntled that diesel is now more expensive than petrol, lol. Surely they can't do anything drastic, with the popularity of the stuff these days?

There may be a change of car on the horizon too on my behalf - I'm now going to be attempting to get into the housing market, so ideally could do with losing the monthly payments on the Laguna and buying a car with cash, so as much money as possible can go towards property each month. Finding a banger that can do 30,000 miles a year reliably could be a challenge, though!

Awesome, thanks! Very Happy

Basically, I need a car that's big enough to seat 5 in comfort, easy to park, has around 300bhp, achieves no less than 50mpg, costs no more than £30 a year to tax, is very comfortable, handles like it's on rails, has AC, DAB, TC, ESC, ABS, VTEC, VVTI, SIPS, DSG, HIDs, has no more than 20,000 miles on the clock and costs no more than £1500.
