new work car

on Sat Jun 10, 2017 8:32 am
well i've had it a week now, so i suppose i should write something about it....although to be honest, its very dull and boring.

2011 Seat Exeo ST Auto

meh, old audi A4 interior, CVT box (which is my favourite bit) and leather seats etc.

I cant get excited about it i'm afraid, its just a cummute-o-bile, a necessity etc.

the 370 is safetly tucked away in the garage.....for now

this week i am mostly thinking about trading in the Exeo against a brand new car on some sort of monthly deal, the exeo is fine, but with extremely careful driving, is acheiving 40mpg, which is shit.....I also need a lower tax band to warrant keeping my 370 and really dont understand why the exeo cost the same as my 370 to insure.

all in all, i regret buying the exeo, i was under pressure to get something for my commute to oxford every day and this seemed to fit the bill at the exact time i had enough looking at cars

Buyers remorse? Oh dear! Well it was always going to be a boring commuter purchase, right? And if you chop it in again now you'll surely lose more than getting something different that does a bit more mpg? In other words - don't be too hasty?

Prius are terrible on long journeys mogs....as they are just using the engine whilst lugging around extra weight in the form of batteries

That's exactly why I baulked at selling the BMW recently - I didn't know what to get in to, and didn't have time to go shopping.

No point spending loads to finance a new car, just to save a few quid on fuel and road tax ...

Sit it out for 6 months and then decide.

How many miles and how much was the Exeoeoeoe?

I don't know Prius, because I did not drive one. But the battery shouldn't hurt performance on the flat, then on the hills and during acceleration the battery should help you. It does recharging on the down hills.

Erm the BMW 1 series is just such a basically great design. Therefore there is nothing better!

Spot should get a BMW 1 series.

Spot. You would have been able to find out about the tax cost and expected mpgs before purchase with some quick Googling? ?!

E Class convertible for me ....

370z sat in the garage Year round doesn't sound too appealing to me ... the car you drive the most, has got to be the one you use the most ... amazing refinement and stereo's in those Mercs too

You know how picky I am with cars - and the 911, and E Class convertible are 2 cars that have a place in my heart, and hopefully a place in my garage at some point.
