Are we in an exciting car lull??

on Fri Jun 16, 2017 10:28 pm
Where are the interest cars these days ??

Not that long ago, the options were so much more exciting ....

Honda S2000 is long gone
Lotus Elise has pretty much died
Nissan 370Z is a very rare car these days (do they still make it??)
Z4 is still around, but 99% these days come with tiny engines .....
Ford coupes ???!!! None
Subaru WRX and Mitsubshi Evo - just don't see new ones ..
Where are the exciting 2 seat Alfa Romeo's ?..

The only buck of the trend is the Jag F type, but that's super expensive.

So, are cars generally more boring these days?

Tesla buck that trend too.

But it's been a while like this hasn't it. All the big BMW's seem to be diesel.

Only chance we got is hybrid, like the BMW i8.

The've taxed the 'ell out of big \ fast cars.

Simple - the market has changed. People don't buy coupes so they don't make them. People want big heavy SUVs.

People buy coupes - they just buy them with poxy Diesel engines ....

People care more about looks and what the neighbours think, than driving dynamics these days ...

Well I meant more 2 seater types, proper focused coupes and sports cars. See a few MX5s but that's about it in any numbers.
