2016 66 Mercedes-Benz C350e Estate

on Fri Jun 30, 2017 5:00 pm
The boss's's's' car.

Specs:

Running costs
Urban mpg
No details available
Extra Urban mpg
60.1 mpg
Average mpg
134.5 mpg
CO2 emissions
49g/km
Performance
Engine power
208 bhp
Engine size
1991 cc
Brochure Engine size
2.0 litres
Acceleration (0-60mph)
6.2 seconds
Top speed
153 mph
Drivetrain
Rear Wheel Drive

Apparently with electrical gubbins also incuded, max power is 293bhp. I did a self-timed 0-60 of 6.94s but that was just a one-time press and go, not in any particular kind of sport mode or prep or anything. So 6.2s would indeed be easy to do with the correct procedure, etc.

A very brisk car. Very quiet in gentle use, the engine kicks in almost seamlessly when it changes from elec to petrol. The engine also sounds quite good indeed for a 4cyl...but is very muted.

Interior is nice. LOTS of stuff to play with. Many many gadgets and settings that i didnt have the time to go into.

Very nice.

Was like this:

A C350 has a 2 litre engine?! What happened to the number being an indication of engine size - I've clearly been giving Mercedes too much respect by being misled by these badges!!!!!

Not at all happy!!!

Yes, badging has gone well out of the window. But LK, BMW are just as guilty of this!

I think it's cos the power rating of 293ish bhp is like..how it fits in the hierarchical thingy of the range? Kinda thing. But yes, it's a 2.0 4 pot. As is the in the BMW 330 now remember!? (I think)

That Mercedes is a plug in type as it has an "e" after the numbers. You boss then pays no VED and gets 2500 from the government and seems like never plugs it in like he is supposed to, therefore the appalling miles per gallon.

It's a green fantasy world.

The BMW and Merc numbering systems went out of the window about 10 years ago when turbos became the norm.

I can see myself in something like this in the future. Smart looking cars.
