So, here are 2 reviews by JC.

XFR - quick, comfortable £65k when new.

XJ Supersport - quick, very comfortable, HUGE and £90k+ when new.

Both cars have similar running costs, but you could argue there are more electronics in the XJ. The listed XJ is long wheelbase (17 feet long!), a year newer and 30k miles less than my R.....

Serious luxury there! Not sure which would be best - driving it or being a passenger in the back, lol.

For such a big arse, the boot doesn't look that big in the pic.

Too big a barge for me, I'd stick with the XF - But each to their own!

What an amazing car for £20k - get it bought.

Brilliant colours, and the B&W stereo really appeals.

I already have the same B&W system in the XFR - It takes up a huge amount of space under the spare wheel.

I'm just not too sure about the XJL not looking "Art teacher" enough?!!

Citroen 2CV?
Alfa Romeo Spider?
Alfa Romeo Brera?
Maybe Audi TT?

All art teachers cars, right ??

Notice none of the above are what you'd call 'family cars'

Reminds me of that American Presidents retreat ..

Wish I had all that money to spare Embarassed

Thanks Andooooo. Closed the business 7 years ago now. Now in my third year as a qualified teacher and loving it. 100% A*-C grades from this year's cohort and the highest Progress 8 score in the school.* You get out of it what you put into it; teaching some amazing kids from tough very backgrounds - the area of Bristol the school is in has the second lowest uptake of Higher Education in the UK!

We do have a nice safe carpark though!!!

*Progress 8 is the new system that schools are judged upon. A score of 0 means kids have made expected progress from Year 6 to the end of Year 11. My score for photography is 1.75 grades higher... Trying to jump a pay scale on the back of it!!

Hugh - amazing work.

The best bit is that you are enjoying it.

Keep up the good work.

They come out with some amazing answers to questions. I was doing a drawing lesson, explaining how we learn more from mistakes than we do when we get things right all the time.

I was talking about "celebrating the mistake" trying to get them to take a risk with their work - one year 8 lad puts his hand up, "is that why my mum throw me a birthday party every year?!"

Saw this and indeed it is very tempting...

http://www.motor-hub.co.uk/used-cars/jaguar-xj-4-2-v8-xjr-4dr-keighley-201705105293833

... Far more tempting than a brand new basic Dacia Sandero that you could get with the same money anyway, lol.

Get it bought! They really hold their value when they get to that age / mileage. The S/C 4.2 V8 is fantastic!!
