Subaru Impreza

on Thu Oct 26, 2017 7:36 pm
My old colleague who is Greek liked my Subaru and bought one himself.

Guess what he is also complaining about it. Incredible he says it does half the miles per gallon as his previous Mitsubishi Colt.

It's a 2008 Impreza with a 2 litre engine. I said lucky you with the 2 litre, I'm still shocked with the lack of power.. I can forget about acceleration unless in 3rd.

Waiting for someone else to get an Subaru and complain about it....

Very Happy

Forced induction - it's the only way. Wink

At least they'll be reliable, albeit slow and thirsty, lol.

Erm first car there was a Volkswagen dealer right near my work and a Opel dealer near my work. The boxy shape was exactly like a common k car in Japan so I bought the Agila, against the Lupo from Volkswagen.

Second car I had a 4 wheel drive in mind. My wife said a Subaru is deemed a safe car in it's category, one came up on the Internet, close to me but with a little damage even though it was brand new. I thought to take a look. Then we went on holiday and it was gone. But there was another one, I think at the same price, six months old 50km's on it, but in Sion and no damage. So jumped. It's a 1.6 petrol so it's really slow.

It's really smooth at speed and I think my Greek ex colleague liked that and the fact it has low range and 4x4. Some ways he has a better one than me as it's a 2 litre. Then he complains... Very Happy

I don't consider mine thirsty. High 30's miles per gallon the Agila was low 40's. Tank is bigger and it goes further on a tank too.

It’s not the lack of a turbo that’s the issue - it’s the lack of cylinders and CC - Very Happy

Either 2 turbos, or supercharger and 8 cylinders!
