New review coming soon ...

on Sat Nov 11, 2017 8:25 am
My mums 2015 Audi A3 S Line 2.0 Tdi convertible (the booted shape one)

She’s looking after the kids whilst I take the Mrs away for a couple of Spa days, so we sorted out the insurance and swapped cars.

Let me just tell you one design fault that led to a brown pant moment though.

You can put the roof up (or down) at up to 30mph ... but the switch is down behind the gearstick, and next to, and identical to, the electronic parking brake .... guess which one I pulled at 30mph yesterday whilst going around a roundabout just before the M25 Shocked Very Happy

Maybe that explains the erratic driving style of other Audis?

You go to a spa with the Mrs? Can’t think of many things worse

Interested in the A3 review though, drove my first car with weird electric switch parking brake the other week.

I might go to the spa tomorrow. Yeah by myself. It's a lot of fun, I drive up the mountain were it's close to zero, I think there is no snow yet. Then I strip off to my tea shirt and go for a walk - run. Breathing kind of too much, to keep my energy up, I scare all the Swiss. I feel great after too.

Actually it not difficult to be ok in the cold in very little clothes. Just google "Russian girls bikini skiing".  Razz

The Subaru has the manual brake lever and the electronic stuff, I still not figured out really how it all works, going up hill, it prevents me form rolling back most of the time.....

Would an electronic handbrake let you pull it on the move? That's one gadget no-one asked for anyway!
