Phew - be careful out there.

on Sun Dec 03, 2017 9:12 am
Yesterday I took my son and 2 others to their U18s rugby in Wellington. After the game we drove back and out left turn was closed in preparation for a Christmas event. Therefore I had to drive straight on - a right / left gentle chicane type road. The road was only very slightly damp due to dropping temperatures, but damp enough for the backend to step out, VERY quickly, by about 18 inches. Luckily I was able to correct it, but it really was quite a surprise. To my passengers too! Only doing about 20mph ... the car was in standard mode.

I replaced one of the front tyres on my Audi on Friday - (the other one was new, it must have had a puncture at some point) - obviously not as dramatic as rear wheel drive - but the wheel spin on this car was unbelievable- still struggling to believe it might be stock - it’s rapid !!!

Anyway - went with a Khumo

I don't know. My old Avantime swung its rear end on a greasy round about once.

In my opinion it must have been ...

Ed drove it recently, and he was like ‘mate, this can’t be stock- 100% it’s got to have had a remap’ Laughing

Might be why it was cheap. Modified cars are worth less, unless you find the right buyer.

LK - I'll take it off your hands for £50 in that case!

It's been snowing, then icy rain, so I went for a spin around the car park, right outside where I live. Siemens factory car park. It does wheel spin in these conditions, but it sounds like the anti lock brakes are cutting in making a racket (erm when I tried to go a bit sideways). I switched off the skid control too.
