MOT due in February so I'll ask the technicians at work to have a look over the Volvo beforehand to see what it'll need to pass - depending on the outcome I'll either be changing cars early in the year or praying it lasts without any expensive repairs until it's due its MOT in 2019. Laughing

Were you always planning to change the M335d M Sport Competition Pack then? Or like.....whats happened?

At the other end of the scale...the Picasso is proving worthy...it's the right car for us at the moment.......which is as good as it sounds.

I desire another mega-cheapie to hoon around in. There's a 2006 Fiesta for £100 that i've got first refusal on in Feb-ish. Weather i need a £100 Fiesta is another matter.

I am going to have to move the focus on soon. I just need to get round to it.

Possible replacement is an Octavia.

Just parked my can confidently in 20 cm's of snow. Confident I can get it out again.

Yesterday driving home massive snow storm, windscreen wipers bunged up with snow pulled on the pavement, unbunged then, getting back in to the car, 2 cars slush washed me back of my legs and my back,  I was only wearing a  shirt. Talk about a cold shower. Heated seats all the way home.

So no rear wheel drive only BMW for me that the moment...

Saw a Tesla parked confidently in the snow too so that would be ok.

I am itching for a change given that I will have had the Focus for 3 years in the spring. However the reality is that it will have to wait - with a 4 year old and an 8 week old funds don't allow with the wife on maternity, and the practicality is very useful.

I might wait another couple of years until I don't need to cart around massive pushchairs and everything else and then my options might be different! A plug in hybrid would suit me as my commute is only 5 miles each way most days and I do a fair amount of urban driving.

Same here, Tom

My commute is about 2 miles, and then it’s urban after that ....

2 cars is the answer for me - i3 and Boxster would be ideal ...

A 2 mile commute and you need 2 cars Laughing

You need one car and a decent set of shoes.
