Came in handy!

on Sun Jan 21, 2018 9:58 pm
Yeah really pleased I bought a jump start booster Jonny a couple of years ago

TT battery died, no bother let me get the starter!

Cable up, this is easy

Nothing...

Hmmm, let me stick it back o. Charge

4hrs later... nothing

Feck, not only is the TT not starting but the damn booster battery is screwed too!

On top of that both fridge freezers broke and a freezer full of food went in the bin

Bloody hell roll on Monday...

Actually yes. Do that. You may get a result, they'll have a record of it, i'm sure from the reg.

How did both of your fridge freezers break at the same time?

(Acutally, on this subect! I initially read your message yesterday but didn't respond - but a part of it must have stuck with me as i had a dream last night that SWMBO bought a new fridge freezer! I remember saying to her - WHERE is that gonna go? (cos we have absolutely zero room anywhere in the house for another fridge freezer). I was really annoyed that she's got it.

And it was all down to your post!

AA Home Start came out, battery is on the "low side of healthy" but not worth replacing yet...

Took the car for a good 30min drive round, will see if it starts again in the morning!

The receipt might be in the pack Spot, I'll have a look and let you know.

Decent guy from the AA was a having a look at the oil issue too while I got his cup of tea. He agrees its nothing major and the issue is the oil hitting the exhaust and burning up making it smell so much worse

Fridge freezers - the one in the house the compressor started going and blew the fuse. After that it was obvious it was clinging on for a day or two until something new arrived.

Unfortunately I put all the stuff from their in the one in the garage to keep it safe. I hadn't realised the one in the garage wasn't working properly and all the frozen food was no longer frozen 48hrs later... Hoping to find a cheap freezer on ebay to replace the garage one, its useful to have for beer etc

You can get a jump start pack now that'll almost fit in the glove box (depending how big your gloves are...).

It's a (I should imagine...) small rechargable battery and a massive caapacitor so it's pretty much ready to boost your deid (deed) battery.

Googled and found the Auto Express review. 1st one worth 87 quid of anybody's money. Local factor had same thing, but for 125 quid Evil or Very Mad  Greedy Scottish bastards.

I can testify to these, we've got a couple at work. (most of our garages have the HUGE heavy things but i think as they become old and knackered, they will likely change to these little tiny ones.

It's impressive what it can do for such a small physical size.

Ahem.

I thought as much.

And funnily enough, yesterday - we used one of these little devices to try to start a totally flat Shogun. The contacts (on the device) overheated and melted.

I think Spot said something about his penis melting when he was trying to jump a flat Shogun?

So, just incase i've not read this thread correctly, Spot dry humped a Shogun exhaust and the battery melted?
