Frustration

on Tue Feb 27, 2018 4:55 pm
At the moment due to a few factors, mainly

Funds (lack of) and other stuff....a next car purchase seems far away at the moment.

SWMBO wont be parted with her 107....ever....it seems. To be fair we've had it like...8 years and 60,000 miles now and it's been very good.

The Crickasso is also the right car for us at the time.

So it's difficult, even if i had the money, to justify another vehicle.

I just wanted to explain to you guys...as by now i'd usually be lining up (or have lined up already) my next vehicle.

I mean really...i need more space....and a garage.

If we moved to a house with a bigger drive and a garage....i would have MORE of a chance of getting a 'third' car.

But that would be expensive too.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................

So.

We need others to step in.

LK, i understand you are considering possible 2 vehicle purchase, thats cool.

Anyone else?

Spot, yes, i gather you are once again on the lookout for a weekend fun car.

Anyone else?

Andoo, any freebies for me? (worthy of a train ticket and a bottle of scotch!)

I have a stack of cash in the bank to replace the focus, but sadly a lack of free time and to some extent desire to do anything about it. My hand will be forced soon as the Focus really doesn't want to start on cold mornings.

Sorry Crix, right now I am struggling to even put fuel in my beloved George as 420 quid a month doesn't go very far Crying or Very sad

However, soon as things perk up I'll think of you Smile

Getting a nip now & then about not selling the Burgman 125, but two things against me being 1, can't force people to buy it and 2, it's too feckin cold to sell a bike right now Rolling Eyes

Bike dealership say it's worth 1200, but I'm thinking more like 900 what with 11k miles, FSH and runs beautifully against it's age (2007). For a 125 it goes some... 74mph max Shocked

Only reason I got the 650 was because although the 125 is pretty quick, it's slow on the hills with 2 on board. 55mph aint good enough. Riding solo she goes up hills at an acceptable rate.

I digress, but I feel your frustration Neutral

I'm always looking at the classifieds, but am too frustrated! I've had the Focus nearly 3 years, but have to accept it is the right car for the job at the moment with two young kids - and a wife on maternity leave means money is a bit tighter, and then a couple of years of expensive nursery fees to come etc. Plus I need to let the depreciation curve level off a bit! Probably another couple of years before I switch my car realistically, nevermind a weekend car!

I have savings but overpaying on the mortgage is equally attractive!

I am looking for 2 cars (plus the Mrs car), but bear in mind that I have just sold 1 decently priced car, and am on the verge of having actually a cheaper garage overall.

I'd love to make mortgage overpayments. In fact, i had just about started to about 18 months ago...but then some kinda unexpected stuff got in the way and that could not happen and still can't for the forseeable future.

Pussy Galore & Frustration ....

Too very sexually orientated topic titles ... and not doing my mental state (in my current draught), many favours ..

Anyway ... if the Mrs fails to put out ... I'll be buying myself a 2 seater sports car, getting fit, and seeing what comes my way ... lol.

Women ... don't want to put out, and then moan when you have an affair !!!!   Women !!!!! **

** Just for the record - I'm not having an affair.

Ah, sexual frustraions LK, stuff happens!

Or doesn't!

Just get the universal Beejaytronic from JML.

You plug it in to the OBC and it syncs with the speedo, the faster you drive, the harder and faster is sucks.

Awesome.

When they paid me the pittance (I am STILL pissed off about the hospital demanding 3.5 grand and the govt demanding 7.5k none of which I had or have...) instead of my years wage, I paid off the mortgage. Guess what, I "STILL" don't have enough to buy a pushbike, let a lone a car Neutral

Still, it could be worse I suppose... I could be in a chair Exclamation

George needs a big service and I can't afford it. But I did get her nipples greased yesterday, all five of them Very Happy

LK, that's because you live in London so your mortgage is equivalent to the national dept of a small country.

Nothing wrong with a Vectra, unless you're a badge snob.

Agreed. I love a Vectra, they are an epic car for peanut money! Still a few bargain barges out there with some of the loaded last of the line cars.

There's one for sale on fb up here, 300 quid! Mot'd and looking good in that dark blue they do... I'd have it if I needed a car.

Similar boat, lack of funds at the moment.

Clearing debts off - loan finishes in March, credit card should be zero by May and then pay holiday off.

Will be looking at replacing the mondeo towards September / October time. I'm liking the look of the newer Ford Kuga.

I also looked at overpaying on the mortgage, but what I do instead is, whenever I remortgage, I aim to knock at least a year off the term, if not more.

Love the Ford Edge, but no petrol engine at the moment!

It's a big car though
