Mystic Meg is correct.

Details incoming shortly, but it's the 2.0 petrol auto.

Not the vignale though, but it is highly specced!

Inflatable seat belts are a pain in the farking arse is what they are.

They're a £175 option (per belt) and are already on the car as I wouldn't spec that.

You would not believe the grief I've had trying to find out about car seats and compatibility with these things.

Yeah I had to go on the Ford web site to figure out what it could be.

Crix does it again? Didn't see you getting it before that clue.

They're seat belts which have an airbag in them that inflate on impact if they are being used.

I'll see if I can add some pics

I'll do a review when I get to drive it more than two miles to the petrol station.

It's a 2.0 petrol auto titanium with 237bhp I think. Panoramic roof, blind spot notification, lane departure warnings, speed limit notification, cruise control. Very nice car.

Nice one - a Mondeo is a pretty niche choice these days in the rush to premium brands and SUVs. Presumably it was a decent saving off the new price!

Same (thirsty!) 2.0 ecoboost engine as my Focus I guess with a very slight detune.

Yeah it wasn't bad Tom. What sort of mpg do you get? I'm hoping it's not going to be too bad, but you've not filled me with confidence.

Funnily enough, the salesman said that's where Ford are going for now that reps etc have moved to BMW, merc and audi

I feel i must stand down. Partially.

Upon reading back the thread, as Ian has said, i did not get the answer until after the clue. Although i was then first to guess the 'most accurately', this was after Paul had mentioned that some Fords had inflatable rear seatbelts, which was what pointed me in the right direction.

Crisps you just need some inflatable underpants and you’ll feel much better

Slightly related question (fords) how similar are the 2.0 ecoboosts across the Range? Are they tunable / mappable to a large extent?

I get around 30 mpg average (calculated) - 23-25 round town, low to mid 30s on the motorway depending on speed, 37 absolute record from a whole tank. Bit rubbish!

I don't know how similar they are, but yes as is typical from a turbocharged engine you can map the ST up to about 300-ish BHP, but you're safest sticking to the official Ford 'Mountune' 275 package, as pricey as it is, as I've seen plenty of reports of cracked pistons! Standard is fine for me!
