Spending so far...

on Tue Apr 03, 2018 1:01 pm
So I thought I would add up all the spendind so far on the BMW. One of the advantages of the Focus was little stuff didn't bother me. On the BMW it does.

So...
Head unit and fitting kit £199.90
New Alpine front speakers £49
Interior wood trim kit 2nd hand off ebay £70
Rear speaker cover 2nd hand ebay £11.50
Front speaker cover New ebay £15.99
Rain sensor plastic trim New £13.99
Rear luggage cover handle New ebay £20.54
The last 4 were broken so needed replacing

Stuff that will need paying out for
LPG system service £75
Paint work on the back end around boot opening £360!! Not a big repair but paintwork aint cheap.

Oh and Tax was £295, Insurance £78.

I think that will have to be it for the time being...

When I posted that I got taken to a "You've got a virus" page. I never knew this site was a source of scams.

It is. Things can add up pretty quickly.

The paint is pricey but the place comes highly recomended and I've done it cheaply before and regretted it.

Work it out...lol.

£78 to take me from now to renewal in August. £25 of that is admin so I expect it to cost about £120 more a year to insure.

The one thing I wouldn't do again is the interior trim. It's an absolute pig to fit, almost impossible to get as good a fit as the stuff you take off and supprisingly easy to damage. I still think the wood looks a lot better but it's not worth the chew.
