Days in Sun?

on Mon May 07, 2018 7:29 am
Was at a christening yesterday, so didnt really get to sample the weather too much, sadly got to sample the inside of a church whilst stuffed into a 'slightly too tight' suit.
Plus side was there was some nice tottage around in the beer garden later on.

Today, should be able to get some nice shots....of scenery...and heading into the Dales and meeting dad etc for a walk aboit (Stanhope and Hill End, if you know them Teeps?)

Pics later.

Not of Teeps.

Well, maybe of Teeps if I'm lucky.

Don't know the Dales? That's not far from you though! (Although further than me)
ALTHOUGH you do have th lovely North York Moors etc, some lovely driving and sights around there as I'm sure you know. We love going to Whitby wherever possible and my dad often stays in a converted barn at Sandsend. It's top expensive for us so we've only been once ot twice, I think he's been 6 or 7 times now.

To be honest everywhere will be heaving today. Bank holiday and the sun is out. I might take the boys into the local woods for a walk and a picnic but won't be going far. The road to Whitby will ne a 15 mile tail back today

Yes. When you have a baby pissing around for ages trying to get parked aint fun. The kids will have just as much fun closer to home, it will be cheaper and a lot less stressful.

Off to the woods in half an hour to meet family (people not bears)

Picnic, then home to finish fixing the “kids den” and clean the tree sap off the TT

Fountains Abbey is a good spot on Bank Holiday. Big enough that crowds aren't that much of a problem and acres of parking.

Been up since 5.30 this morning ....the Mrs was doing a Triathlon near Hampton Court, and she got up to sign on at 6.15, and I followed over slightly later to support ....

Mrs isn’t in to Triathons, but it was a school mums idea that’s taken over all of their lives !!! Mad

Just got home ..... and this afternoon we are going to the Brother in laws for a BBQ - just already it’s freaking hot.

On the way back we had the roof down, and it’s so so hot, and the sun gives you a headaches ..... might sell it !!!

* runs *

Too soon ???? Smile

I wouldn’t even try cleaning a car in this heat ....

Actually the best time to tackle things like that is when it’s (or has been) raining - softens everything up ....

chill out day for me, have been abroad for the last 8 weeks, leave again tomorrow morning for Italy....although Ryanair just sent me a text to say my flight has been cancelled.......yes thats right, at 2pm they sent me a cancellation notice for a flight that leaves at 6am

absolute dogs arsehole of an airline.

but, I did take the car out to wawick castle saturday, roof down all the way there and all the way back yesterday, its bliss - might nip out soon for a totally unnecessary drive too

The 3’series is brilliant .... but I bet the slightly smaller, and probably slightly more sporty and agile M235i is a riot .... might have to add it to the ‘possibly next car’ list..

Was a bit meh this morning, but come lunchtime it dried up and now the sun is melting the tarmac Very Happy

Hope it's this good tomorrow for the trip from Aberdeen to Banff... The Aberdeenshire countryside is beautiful and green. The more "lost" in the sticks you get, the more gorgeous it gets flower flower

Staying over at sisters because the 4.5hrs on a bus will be absolute torture so I will just about manage to ride to her place and get a lie in for the journey home next day.

But saying that, I'll really enjoy the bike down my old stomping ground and maybe even convince my sister to come with me... That would be major coup Cool

That's no SEAT Shocked

It's a FIAT 131 Mirafiori Razz

I had a few, 131 Mirafiori saloon and the 131 Weekend which was the estate.

It had a 1.6 that died so we dropped in a 2.0 twin cam and she was a flying machine...well, compared with the 1.6

Then I got a 132 with the 2.0 twin cam and an auto box.

I loved my FIATS back in the day Embarassed

I spent the entire day in the garden, well in and out of the sun, jeez it was hot and being a fat slob really makes you pay.

Still rear and sides nearly done and i managed to cut the grass at the front as it was getting too high for the mower to cope.

just the shitty strips from the front door to the gate to sort now, then i can rest. Well till the hedge needs cutting in September.

Can we post pics now btw??
