Heavy duty tinkerage.

on Sun May 13, 2018 12:12 pm
Well, this morning I thought I'd best get to work on both cars and carry out some much needed work, so I got sorted and this is what I did this morning!

Check 107 oil level - fine, no top up needed.

Check Picasso oil level - fine, no top up needed

Top up washer fluid reservoir on 107. 3/4 kettle required.

Top up washer fluid level on Picasso. 1/2 kettle required.

I then rook two plastic bags and gathered the rubbish from each car.

Phew! I know, I know! I should be taking it easy! Don't exert myself and all that. But sometimes the big jobs need doing!

That’s awesome Crix, I’m impressed with your lack of hammer and screwdriver

However it would be nice to see some liberal use of WD40 next time

Hehe well done Crix.

I would like to learn how to do more stuff on my car. It looks easy as the oil filter is right there on top of the engine all the stuff is clearly visible. I tried to reboot the ECU so it would forget the id's in the wheels for tyre pressure safety, but it didn't forget. Even the radio setting were not forgotten the time on the clock was forgotten. Funny car it is.

I too checked the oil tried to undo the oil cap the guy at the garage over tightens it. So I remembered just today after a drive to undo it while hot. And tighten it again not so much. Just today that was, so like Crix tinkering.

And now.....the boot is full of flagstones. ...and we haven't got in the car yet to go home...
Hopefully this mornings maintenance will have been worth it!

Damn. Wrote some stuff about fixing the bike... Then pressed back button by mistake 🙄

Photos will have to suffice.

Basically, the bike stopped charging. Turned out it was the regulator rectifier pack was blown, but trying to find it was a mare! Stripped bike down found it and found a replacement for £10.

Back together now and running again.

Weekend tinkering 🍺
