Thanks lovely lads for your lovely words Smile

Nope, standard.

I'm thinking....i could potentially get this back and sell the Crickasso. It wouldn't make any sense to sell the Crickasso as it's absolutely the right car for us and the minute...but i think i could make a few £££ which would really help at the moment.

So i'm thinking about it. I'll take the Megane back either way if i get the opportunity and see what i want to do a that stage. The Megane isn't worth much at all but not much is better than nothing. Any excuse to have a cheap car on the go really!

I imagine he'd start by topping up the oil, screen wash and brake fluid. Then he'd empty the rubbish out and perhaps vacuum the carpet.

Then to end with a flourish, he could get John round to kick the tyres... Laughing

I am happy to confirm the Megane will be coming back into my possession on Sunday, for a small fee.

I am as yet undecided on what to do.

To many there would be no issue - sell the Megane and make maybe £2-300 (thats realistically all its worth)

But....BUT....i could potentially make considerably more by selling the Picasso. Any money raised would likely be used to pay down some debts - boring - but necessary and i'd feel better in myself having been able to do that.

The Megane was literally MOT'd last week and has had some work done...so i'm confident it would last a while yet. (but this would also help it sell, of course.

Hmmm...i dunno.

Obviously a caring father would keep the much newer, safer, bigger, more practical, more economical family car for family safety-ness...

But the potential extra money would be very important to me at the moment.

Hmmm...

I'll assess the Megane and see how if feels.

If you don’t need the Crickasso and can get a decent figure for it I’d flog it on and run the Megan’s until the next bargain comes up

Unless the Megan’s looks like it has upcoming bills

I would sell the Crixcaso (I forgot what it's called) and keep the Megane, you are able to maintain those older cars so it's probably the way to go.

Thank you. I am open to further suggestions from other members.

The Picasso is the main family car as the other car is the 107 (which SWMBO still refuses to part with)

So the Megane would become the main family car. Possibly too much to ask really..i mean...it'll do...and it has done before..but it may feel a bit too....budgety now that i'm used to the heady heights of a fully functional 2011 car!

Keep the Citroen .... sell the Megane ...

Put all the profits on a horse, or the lottery .....

Easy come - easy go - but dream big ..... that £200 you may have never had won’t changed your life - but stick it somewhere it might ... 0.1 of a Bitcoin maybe ....

If you lose it all - imagine it’s money you never had - if it wins - changes your life !!!!

Do that enough to times - you will change your life ...

Citroen is a better family wagon than Megane. With a recent MOT and a good clean and polish you should easily get £400 for the Megane, maybe more.

Fraid I'd keep the newer car Crix, it's a belter and you will regret selling the better vehicle....

I wish I could help you out mate, I rally do as I know just exactly how shit it is to be in debt or have no cash and it is the worst, but keep the newer car as it is likely to be more reliable!

Think about it, driving to a short break down the motorway, cramped, hot, stuffy, everyone gets angry...not a good atmosphere.

Driving the Citroen, room, space, happy, cool.....

I just think you'd be better off in the newer motor. Call it Spidey sense, call it mechanical knowledge, I don't know. But having owned several Renaults, including Megane's, they are a money pit.

Crix. its a 15 year old car. It might be the dogs bollox but it WILL let you down.

Stay safe. Sat waiting for the RAC ain't no fun honest, and I dread to think what its like with kids sat in the back.

Flip the Renault, surely you can make 100 notes n be happy???
