I may add that while it was lat Feb and although nippy, there was no snow which was just as well because that Vectroid had summer tyres Rolling Eyes

Lads, I get that you think it's funny to take the piss out of my driving, but in over 2,000,000 miles in many European countries, all over UK and even Australia, I have had one crash that was my fault...sort of... Rolled into the rear bumper of a car with no brake lights! Insurance checked it out, they agreed so I didn't even lose my no claims Cool

So, I rather think that's a pretty decent innings given the sheer amount of bastards on the road Laughing

Just banter, dude.

You’ve definately got the balls, and energy to go out and drive in conditions that I wouldn’t want to brave.

Yes, remember it's just banter!

And with your re-description. ...I'll have to re-work out the average. But my head isn't working at the moment.

Calm doon girls, I know it's banter Laughing

I'm not long back from my flight... Got a flight in a Cessna for Christmas so went today with son & his pal (mare Mad Mad )

Our pilot was called Anna, very very young (I estimate about 23), slim, long blonde hair and big blue eyes, Helloooooooo doll santa

Anyway, we took off and she immediately handed me the controls so we flew north and followed the coast, over the oil rigs and whatnot and back to land. I chickened out at about 20 feet and asked her to help land it (last time it was less windy so I landed the plane...1st lesson too!).

However, I asked if I did ok and she said absolutely. Very smooth and safe, which is just as well as we spent the whole flight with me at the controls AND we got more than half an hour.

The flight was meant to be 30 minutes from taxi to landing. But we spent almost an hour in the plane so I really enjoyed it. Pilot was awesome Cool

50 minutes to do 104 miles is average of 125 mph.
Next stage was pedestrian by comparison.
BTW those kind of speeds could land you in prison north of the border.

but did you make the table reservation, that's the most important thing.

I did Inverness to Northampton (501 miles) in exactly 9 hours yesterday, that was with two short stops, one to fill up, and one to fill up with Greggs.

pretty good for a friday i'd say.

The A9 from Inverness to Perth is an absolute pain in the arse though......i mean......the MAIN link to civilisation and the Scotch government make it an average speed zone with HGV's limited to 50....for 100 miles!.......farking ridiculous
