It always amazes me how Peugeot manage to put big engines in little cars, and make them so slow !!!

Heavy. The 207 was a bit of a bloater. The real kerb weight for this model is a i think approx 1300kg, which is a lot.
Apparently these go very well though, better than the 0-60 would suggest.
I'll try to have a go tomorrow.
Paul - who knows mate. To keep initially.

Yes. Apparently a remap can take it from 148 to the 190 area....*quivers*
Is this me having my 35yr old midlife crisis?

You’re only 35 Crix? Sheesh, I thought you were at least nearly 40

The 207 wasn’t an awful car it just wasn’t great. My gripe with it was the same as the 106, pedal size / spacing

Oh yes, the 207 isn't a good car. But allowances can be made if the price is right.

Only just 35 too.

Just had a little drive, i'm not gonna pursue.

It's a 2008 in good condition, good service history with only 65isk K but it feels loose and jangly. Some knockings, some creakings, it needs a bit of work. It just has that feel of a car that hasn't lasted particularly well. Like....you could drive a Japanese 2008 car..and it would feel drum tight..this just didn't,, you know what i mean.

Also...the performance....well.....lets just say its definitely not been remapped. A bit disappointing. It does 'go' but there's no urgency, i was expecting better having read a few reviews. Still, maybe it's lost a few horses over the years.
Cleaned up a bit it would be an eye catcher IMO and it's a much nicer place to sit than the usual 207s though with lower half leather more sporty seats and a big pano-roof.

But....it's not for me.

£1000....must have been very tired! I think £2-3k is more the normal rate.

I poss could have got this one for approx £1k but...my heart and head are both telling me no.

You made the right call ..

You might see them listed at more, but I reckon you'd be doing very well to get £1500 out of it ..

Cheapest THP near me is £2100 with 97,000 miles

Other two are £2500 and £3000

That’s not to say they’ll sell at that price

Thing about Pugs that drive all baggy is they are a cheap fix as they are always drop links, ball joints and the odd lower wish bone. If it's all three (on each side) you'd be 70 odd quid per side in parts. Sometimes a broken spring will rear it's head which can be anything north of 30 quid. The worst case scenario is a worn tie rod end which is a bit of a dick to do more than expensive parts.

After you've done all that, you need to do the steering alignment and the difference will be palpable. She'll be tight and will track beautifully round the twisties.

I do like fixing a PSA car because the difference between a Citroen and a Peugeot is the name only. They are good to work on and easy to fix. Although I'm not sure when I'll be back fixing the big stuff Neutral

I think so....but I'd have to be ultra careful. The new boss is mega strict. I don't think it'd be worth the potential grief.

Yes. You can't really do that when you work for a garage.
Well, you can and it happens but you have to be subtle about it.
