on Thu Jul 26, 2018 8:46 am
1.6 hdi.

Various errands for work.

You know what my question is gonna be.

So, your guesses?

What's the 0-100 time?

How fast can it go in reverse?

Those weren't the questions! And annoyingly, i wont have much scope to do any performance tests. But i may try.

Spot - good one.

Hmmm... I reckon it'll be showing... 57mpg average. Smile

Correct question FF!

It ended up averaging, i think, 52mpg. However there was a high of 74 on a 50mph speed camera section and lows of 30s/40s.

I did indeed manage to record some performance times, i'll have to sort those out later.

I maintain it's a nice car, with refined progress, decent performance from the 110bhp diesel and nice comfy supportive seats (which sadly most citroens dont have these days!

I also have a new review to add to the reviews section...but of a different car.

Wouldn't mind a go in a DS5 one day - nice-looking car. Too expensive right now, but maybe in a few years. Smile

Yes, DS5 looks great inside and out. Sadly, nothing special to drive. In fact I prefer the DS4 to drive, it mixes comfort and schporty handling quite nicely.

What are your contributions to the forum lately? Apart from red brake calipers?

Still think they'd look better in blue!

I did wonder about Blue...

Crix, mostly fark all. I have tried but no one is interested. Clearly whether you can get 54 or 55 mpg out of a diesel Citroen is more exciting.

I did once drive a Citroen really far. In to Wales.. to the Brecon beacons, to some coastal place. I drove on the stones on the beach..

Then I drove back, put some petrol in it by mistake, as it was a diesel.. then some customer said just fill it up the rest of the tank with diesel., it was fine. Maybe a little rough but really ok. I slept the night and started the next day, erm really rough. Gave it back to my boss with an near empty tank, hehe

Crix, it was meant to be a joke. Don't take my comment too seriously.

So, Crix, do you not find the Citroen pulls, then pulls and pulls some more?

Wife's one can go like slidey shite off a chrome shovel if you balance the change just right.

I took them to the airport the other day, got the back wheels sliding and the fronts squealing round a really tight bend.

Wife going skitzo, but Aiden shouting "again again!" Cool Laughing

Thing is, we were barely doing 40mph and I know the road like the back of my hand. I managed to steer it tight enough to lift a back wheel so she really felt like she was on the Top Gear track.

On the way back, I may have got her going a damn sight faster and doing a 4 wheel drift round the same corner going the opposite way.

What a cracking handling car. The Yokohama's up front help with grip as does the fact the rears are down to 3mm and somewhat old (5 years).

Love this car, I really do! Gt a 150 mile trip in the middle of the night coming up.... Oh what fun pirat
