Hey Homo's, I'm Still Around...Just.

on Fri Sep 14, 2018 12:19 am
Bored, sore, pee'd off in the main.

George being a dick, few leccy gremlins, but still starts on the button.

Bike awesome as ever, but the longer I ride, the more I suffer next day, the Alto runs like a watch...a rattling bastard of a watch, but a watch nonetheless and the Jaguar gets started every 2 weeks and runs for up to 20 minutes.

Broke as usual.

MRI results show I was right that my neck is ruined, so now trying to prove it was the accident and not some tosh they trying to claim. That and my C7 having been broken from day one (and not my ribs as I originally thought... I figured the ribs had snapped right at my spine between shoulder blades, but that is where the C7 lives, so I was right with the area, but wrong with the bone).

So long long long wait to see specialist. If I get him on board to join the dots we may yet prove my pain was caused by the accident (like there could be any doubt!!!!). Then we may be on the home straight to get compensation.

But holy fark it's difficult! All I want to do is to feel good, but I'll be honest, that's never going to happen.

Most on here remember I used to love getting stuck in to a car and fixing it, but the pain and lack of energy is just shite as even of I want to, I can barely get my act together due to stiff ankle, leg, shoulder, arm and hip. I know I'll never be able to prove the gate cunted up my hip, but if you think about it,, two tonnes of steel wallop me to the ground like some fat bloke in a trebuchet, and my hip was the 1st thing to hit the ground...

Anyhoo, I have found other things to fill my days. They will never take place of my 1st love of fixing cars, but I can still get on my bike (albeit and automatic) and get about with the wind in my face and the power to pass almost anything on the road so a little bit of excitement in my otherwise dull existance.

That and my lad still currently adores me, which is good I love you

So, how y'awl doin??

Good to hear from you!

Yeah life... life... is a disaster, it's a really hard job to make it something else and then it's so easy to slip back in to disaster mode.

Anyhoo I keep fighting in the nature, there is something about nature and trees and the sun that is a cure for a lot of it. I think it's become my meditation.

Keep going young Andoooo.

Not too sure how the fact that you were squashed by a 2 tonne gate isn't seen as the most likely cause of a knackered hip?!!?!

How much would it cost to see a specialist?

First, thanks all for the responses.

VFC, thank you for that. You know I haven't and won't and never will. I was asked "why are you running around on a bike after what happened?" I replied, "because I can!" Wink "Aren't you scared?" So I replied, no, just more careful!"

Huge, I saw a "specialist" in Edinburgh who, even though I told him I had recently (this was last year) been diagnosed with a partially ripped deltoid, told my solicitor I was fat and seeded an injection for an impingement!

To say I was displeased is like saying the Titanic leaked.... I was feckin furious! He never listened to a word I said and this is supposed to be an expert!! Anyway, I would rather pay the specialist I saw after waiting 20 months to see. He asked about the mechanics of the accident, that's my territory. So I explained in detail, how i was pulling on the gate, where I was standing, how it came down, how I landed and about the (most important bit) pain in my spine, between my shoulder blades, felt like broken ribs.

That pain has never left, it has morphed into something worse. That pain was and is my damaged C7.

I'm at my sisters. Came down last night and took my fancy new pillow (that came with the fancy new mattress) with me. Forgot to take a painkiller before bed and paid for it through the night. Woke up with a burning left shoulder, pain from my shoulder blades to my ear and down my arm. It's enough to bring tears, but I got up early and took a painkiller. Then at breakfast I took another. Went shopping with my sister and right now am back to where I was this morning...feckin sore, but surrounded by much love.

Anyway, I'm hoping the specialist can "prove" the gate damaged my C7 and the subsequent broken bone there that has repaired and grown by 5mm is what is causing the pain. Although, it "should" be in my notes that I complained of pins & needles down my left arm, pain in my shoulder has kept me signed off work since the day of the accident (it'll be two years on 29th Oct) and the constant prescriptions for Cocodamol 30/500's. Not to mention the 3 sessions of hydrotherapy for my leg were aborted due to "the pain in my left arm/shoulder" as far back as March 2017. It took me going abroad to prove I was right.

Anyway, never give up, never give in! Never, never, never, never.... pirat

I hated Zapan, only had it for a few weeks luckily to deal with a tooth. Made me want to sleep a lot, not helpful when you’re supposed to be working...

I'm so used to the cocodamol now that I no longer get tired with it, which is handy.

But then I only take three a day most days, 1 at breakfast, one in the afternoon if I'm sore (although not always) and one at bed time.

I cut right down on them last year, preferring to put up with the pain and able to move around awake than lay there like a feckin zombie Sleep

As for the visiting the bathroom, I eat enough roughage such as veg, baked beans, brown bread and the like so rarely get bunged up. Arrow

Cocodamol doesn’t contain half the active ingredients it used to I am told ... and it’s a bit of a rip off now.

My Mrs used to use it for headaches ... which used to come on just before bedtime every night I would appear

Was that about the time you started meeting Spot for sessions of man-jousting in secluded lay-bys?

LK

if women are so wonderful at multitasking...why can't they have sex and a headache at the same time?

vfc

ps - there are 2 strenghts of cocodamol ...i think 8/500 and 30/500 - the 8 and 30 being the codein content - i used to have to take 6 per day plus 6 tramadol plus 8 ibuprofen...as andi said = ZOMBIELAND...
