I like it but to me the styling doesn't quite work on the cabrio. The rear bits just don't work cos the roof isn't there. But I wouldn't say no!

I would like to have a go. Driving all the way to the UK might not be an option though...

Actually I like the styling with the gull wing type doors. I don't like the concept all that much. It's not a Ferrari beater and it's not a Tesla beater. Therefore what is it. hehe

That's a Yorkshire registration so probably wouldn't have to travel all that far. Smile

It doesn't. I'm not saying it's not a nice looking car, of course it us. ...but the rear floating pillar things that totally work on the coupe...well...they don't here!

My brother has it as a 3 day loaner ... so it’s in Lincolnshire!!

YH numberplates are the ones all BMW own registers cars have.

I learnt this when I was looking for my 1 series - goes to show quite how many are sold to BMW UK and used as ‘management cars’ and then get sold on.

By my reckoning - nearly half of all BMW’s on the road start life as ‘BMW’s own vehicles’

His i3 isn’t in for work - but yes BMW have lent it to him for 3 days.

In theory I can go and drive it - but he’s about 4 hours away !!!

The hard top i8 is a £100k+ car new, but 3 year old ones start under £50k! We'll all have one on our drive in a year or two! I guess people are worried about the tech long term or that it will be outdated quite quickly.
