Epic colour !!!

Me likey likey !!

I also like a lot of the new Merc small 4x4’s.

SQ5 or Macan would be in my (realistic) dream car garage.

My boss has just changed his A7 for an X6.

Seems to be a very colour sensitive car - a neighbour has a dark red one, and it looks nice ....

This one is like an Ivory white colour (he got a good lease deal in it (although it’s still £600 a month I think)) and it just looks too bulky !!

Much to most people’s disgust I like the X6 for it’s impractical, fark you, out the way approach to motoring

An X6 has to be black with tinted windows though

I like the X6, but really the first one. The current one somehow to me doesn't look as good, but i'd probably still have one.

The new Q8 - it's as good as i'd hoped having seen them on photos etc.

They are large like a Q7 - but much more curved and 'sporty'. I think there are similarities between it and the new Lambo Urus...somewhere underneath they must share parts.

I can totally understand the hate these things get though....they are just big blingy flashy things but i think they can be cool.

Looks awesome! We all know the kind of people who will end up driving them, though. Wink

I was looking like I do at the ad's at the top of this forum then this car appears. 61,000 dollar Land Cruiser.

https://auto.ricardo.ch/de/a/802219469/?utm_medium=retargeting&utm_source=criteo&utm_content=lowerfunnel&utm_campaign=cb_ret_de

Then I started looking for an older BMW X6 I can find a really cheap 5 litre petrol or diesel for a few thousand.

It's actually fairly mad. The X6 is a bargain.

Started to see a few Q8's around.

Definitely a case of 'go big or go home' on the spec.

The high spec, or bold colour ones look great ... saw a silver one today - looked very average in comparison.

Agreed. I think they look great but are spec dependant...rather like the Velaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Also...i think the Kuwait needs the grey grille. I've seen a couple with normal black grilles and they dont like....catch the eye as much.

Overall though.....i see the Kuwait as a bit of a cut-price Urus - obviously less outrageous but im sure they'll be quite a few shared parts between them. I think they have a similar stance from the rear 3/4.

Anyway.

Today i have been mostly driving 2010 Citroen C3 1.4 16v VTR+ - back to reality.

"saw a silver one today - looked very average in comparison"

What happened to silver? - 10 years ago every car was silver, now none are - it's all various shades of grey instead. Just completely fell out of fashion. It's very dull, but normally car buyers like dull!

Agreed - Velar, depending on spec range from - what a Munter .... to Stunning.

I've got two friends with Velars ... one I haven't heard much about, but the other one is very disappointed with the quality - in fact recently took it all the way to head office to get some of the interior leather changed - can't remember the details, but some issue with different bits being different shades of colour - given what they paid, they weren't happy.

I'd post a picture of it, but its very Surrey, Darling.

Other than I bought one on Sunday, I would never buy another Silver car ..... freaking impossible to colour match if they get damaged (like the BMW I had to reject).
