2018 18 Citroen C3 Aircross Feel 1.2 110PS

on Mon Nov 19, 2018 12:43 pm
The C3 Aircross.

This was the Feel model with the 1.2 3 cyl turbo 110PS engine.

It actually went pretty well. It does feel very much like a diesel though...with the initial lack or response...then the turbo oomph and long gearing.
However, a lot quieter and smoother than a diesel. I feel it's a good engine.

Interior of this model was pretty dull. You can spec them to be kinda funky but this one was just grey on grey. Pretty bland.

AND! The C3 is a prime example of what Citroen are doing at the moment (and goes some way to show how they have improved their profit on the manufacture of each vehicle - Citroen are very much going down the road now of the ONLY bits of the interior which are remotely plush...the literally the bits you touch/use. So you have the touch screen (which is a whole other story in itself...i still prefer 'buttons' and 'switches' - how old fashioned does that sound now?!) and like...the door pulls...., the handbrake, the steering wheel etc. They are kind leatherbound or made of slightly better materials.

To contrast, pretty much the WHOLE dashboard is made of this horrible, cheap, nasty thin, horrible plastic. It really is quite bad...but then i think...i'm a strange person who likes to poke and prod dashboards of cars to feel the quality...and im strange.
Your typical person might never ever touch the dashboard at all! So Citroen have just gone along the route of bobby basic with the very rare slightly fancy bit.

It's totally liveable with....and functional.

To drive, the C3 Aircross is pretty decent. It's smooth, quiet and quite comfy. Sadly the days are long gone on 'comfy and supportive' seats on Citroens in general.

SWMBO loves the look of these..and i suppose they have a chunky charm to them, i dont mind the way they look.

They are the same car underneath as the Vauxhall Crossland X (PSA plaftorm and engines etc so mostly PSA i think)

I need to add - there isn't really anything clever going on here. It's not like a Picasso where you at least have the sliding seats and some extra cubbyholes. Its just more like a normal car...but SUV-fied (although you DO get the sliding seats on the top model) - but like...it's not aimed for spaciousness if you see what i mean. It's more just a normal car with a bit of extra height and ground clearance.

These images show a Flair model which has bugger wheels, looks better.

Haha, the 'bugger' was a typo....but i'll leave it in for 'comedy' value.

The thing is I am a bit of a cat. And a monkey.

I feel the mountain is the answer.

It's a case of how many mogs you can get into a Citroen.

Going forward, will each car reviewed need to have a MCF? Mog capacity factor?

Good idea ...

I would rate the Aircross Feel at a MCF rating at 16.
